Boards

A board holds the lists of one project, plan or part of your life.

A board is one project, plan or part of your life. It holds lists, and the lists hold items.

Create a board

1. Choose Create in the top bar.
2. Give the board a title. A description, an avatar and a background are optional.
3. Choose Browse templates to start with lists already in place, or keep No template for an empty board. See Board templates.
4. Choose Create Board.

You can also ask your assistant to create a board, for example a project board with Ideas, To do, Doing and Done.

Find your boards

The dashboard shows your Starred boards, the boards you Recently viewed, and all boards in the current space. Star a board with the star next to its title. You can drag starred boards into the order you want.

Search and commands

Choose the search button in the top bar, or press Ctrl K (Cmd K on a Mac) anywhere in the app. Pressing / works too when you are not typing. One box finds boards, lists and items in the current space, or in All spaces. With nothing typed, it shows the items and boards you opened lately.

The same box runs commands: type "new board", "settings" or the name of a space to switch to it. On a board, it finds that board's items first, can add a New item to the first list, and can Filter this board to the items that match. Clear filter above the lists shows them all again. Help and your workspace

The question mark in the top bar is the Help menu: Help and questions, Keyboard shortcuts, the Docs, Report a problem and the Roadmap.

Your account's pages are in the menu under your picture, in Your workspace: Manage templates, Manage labels, Import from Trello and Archived boards. The search box finds them too.

The board bar

The row under the top bar belongs to the board. On the left are its avatar, title, star and the Public pill when it has a public link, with the first two lines of its description under the title. Choose more to read the whole description and less to fold it again, or choose the description to edit it. On the right are the views, Filter, Agents (with a count when suggestions wait in the Inbox), Share and the ⋯ menu.

Views

Each board has three views: Board (the lists side by side), Calendar (items by due date, drag an item to another day to change it) and Table (all items in a sortable list). In the board view, Compact items in the ⋯ menu shows each item as a single line.

The ⋯ button (Board settings) at the end of the board bar has the rest:

• Rename board, Edit description, Compact items (in the board view) and Agent access, for what agents may do on this board.
• Change background, Change avatar and Add website link.
• Save as template, Duplicate board, Move to space and Export board.
• View archived items, View archived lists and Archive board.

Archive a board

Archiving hides a board without deleting it. Archived boards are under Archived boards in the menu under your picture and on the dashboard, where you can Reopen them or delete them for good.
