Save to Listspace from Telegram
Turn Telegram messages, photos and files into items.
Send something to the Listspace bot in Telegram and it becomes an item. Notes, links and forwarded messages go to Unsorted, to sort later. Photos and files go to a board you pick.
1. Connect Telegram
- In Listspace, open Settings, then Capture and connections.
- Under Telegram, click Connect Telegram. Telegram opens a chat with the Listspace bot.
- Press Start in Telegram. The bot says it is connected, and Settings shows your Telegram name.
The link in Connect Telegram works once and for 15 minutes. If it expired, click Connect Telegram again.
2. Save a note, a link or a message
- Type a note or paste a link in the chat with the bot. The first line becomes the item's title.
- Forward a message from any chat to the bot. The item says who it was forwarded from.
The bot answers with where the item went and an Open in Listspace button.
3. Save a photo or a file
Unsorted cannot hold files, so a photo or a file goes to a board:
- Send the photo or file to the bot.
- The bot answers with buttons for your boards, the starred and most recently changed ones first. Tap one.
Or write /board and the board's name as the caption, for example /board Home, to save it to that board right away. You can also reply to a photo with /board Home.
The caption becomes the item's title. Files can be up to 8 MB. They count toward your storage and get the same virus check as any upload.
Agent access applies
Listspace saves as an app named Telegram in your account, the same way your AI does. It shows under Connected apps in Settings, and every item it adds shows Telegram in the item's history.
Each board's agent access decides what happens. At Act or Full a new item is added right away. Files come along only at Act or Full. At Capture it is added right away to a list for ideas or info, and waits in the board's Inbox for your OK in any other list, without its file either way. At Suggest it always waits in the Inbox, without its file, and at Read only Telegram cannot add items there. Listspace uses the board's list for ideas when it has one. Unsorted works at every level except Read only.
What Listspace reads
Listspace reads only what you send to the bot, and your Telegram name and username to show in Settings. It does not read your other chats. The bot works in your private chat with it, not in groups.
Notifications in Telegram
With Telegram connected, the bot also sends you the notifications your phone or computer gets: what waits in an Inbox, what is due today, and mentions and requests. Several changes on one board within a few minutes come as one message, and each message has an Open in Listspace button.
- Turn them off or on in Settings > Notifications with the Telegram switch under Where notifications go.
- The switches under What to notify you about (Waiting in an Inbox, Due today, Mentions and requests) and muted boards apply to Telegram too.
- If you block the bot in Telegram, Listspace disconnects the chat.
