How people use Listspace with their AI

A few everyday ways people use Listspace with their AI. In each one, you keep the project on a board, your AI keeps it up to date, and you decide what it may change on its own.

A freelancer with several clients

Every client, without explaining it all again

You work for several clients, in more than one AI app. Every new chat starts from zero, so you explain the client, the project and where you left off, again and again.

What you do

  1. Make a space for your work, with a board per client.
  2. Write a few lines of instructions on each board, such as how this client likes to work and what to keep short.
  3. Start a chat with: "Let's continue on the bakery website".

What your AI does

  • Reads the board, your instructions, the open work and the summary the last session left.
  • Works with you and moves items along. What your freedom level does not allow, like finishing an item, waits in the board's Inbox for you.
  • Leaves a short summary at the end, so the next chat, in the same app or another one, picks up from there.

What you get

No more re-explaining. Each client has one place with the state of the work, and a daily email at the hour you pick tells you what is due across all of them.

A small agency, with the client on the board

One brief, every version, and the client in the loop

The client asks for status by email, the brief exists in several versions, and nobody is sure which AI changed what.

What you do

  1. Invite the client to the project board as a guest who can comment. A board can have up to 5 guests, and a guest needs no paid seat.
  2. Keep the brief as a document in an item on the board.
  3. Confirm the decisions that matter, such as the scope and the delivery date.

What your AI does

  • Drafts the brief in ChatGPT and saves it to the board. Claude picks it up later and improves it. Every save is a version, and History shows which AI made it.
  • Writes down a decision when one is made and asks you to confirm it. It never confirms one itself.
  • Keeps the items up to date as the work moves, so the board shows where things are.

What you get

The client sees how the work is going and comments on the exact sentence in the brief. You can compare any two versions and go back to one. The client sees that one board and nothing else of yours.

Guests come with Pro.

A developer with a coding agent

Your coding agent keeps its place between sessions

A coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex forgets what it was doing when the session ends. With two agents on one project, both can start on the same task.

What you do

  1. Connect Claude Code, Codex or Cursor by signing in.
  2. Start a board from the project template, with Ideas, Bugs, To do, Doing and Done.
  3. Set the board to Act, so agents can work on items and lists. Finishing an item still waits for you.

What your AI does

  • Starts each session by reading the board, its instructions and the summary the last session left.
  • Asks for the next item and claims it, so a second agent takes a different one. You see which agent is working on what.
  • Adds a bug as an item when it finds one, comments on what it did, and moves the item along.

What you get

Work that survives the end of a session, agents that do not collide, and a History of every change with who made it. You can undo an agent's change from History.

Act, and claiming items, come with Pro.

A family or personal project

A move, a renovation or a trip, in one list

The to-dos for the move live in a notes app, a group chat and somebody's head. Things get forgotten until the day they are due.

What you do

  1. Make a board for the move, with lists such as To arrange, To buy and Done.
  2. Give the important items a due date. A private link puts them in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
  3. Share the board as a read-only link with the people who need to see it, with a password if you like.

What your AI does

  • Adds what you tell it in a chat, also on your phone: "Add cancel the internet contract, due the 30th".
  • Answers "what is due this week?" from the board.
  • At Capture, the default level, a new to-do waits in the board's Inbox until you accept it, so nothing lands on the list without you.

What you get

One list that everyone can see, due dates in your own calendar, and an email on days when something is due.

A founder planning a launch

Ideas on the phone, building at the desk, one memory

The price, the launch date and the scope get decided in different chats. Weeks later, no AI knows which version is final, and neither do you.

What you do

  1. Capture ideas and to-dos in the Claude app on your phone, straight onto a board.
  2. Mark the price and the launch date as decisions, and confirm them.
  3. Set the board to Suggest when you want to see every change before it happens.

What your AI does

  • Claude Code picks up the to-dos the next morning and builds, keeping the board up to date while it works.
  • ChatGPT reads the same board when it gives a second opinion.
  • Every AI reads the confirmed decisions at the start of a chat. A change to a decision waits for you to confirm.

What you get

Ask any AI why you chose that price, and it answers from the decision and its reason. This is how Listspace itself is built, on a board that is public.
