Listspace for designers

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Listspace and keep each design job on a board: the brief, the feedback, the choices you made and what is still open. The design stays in Figma or Canva. In one Claude chat, your AI reads it with their connector and writes what comes out of it to the board.

Your AI app does remember things. But that memory lives inside one app, you cannot easily see or correct it, and it does not know what still holds and what was replaced. The feedback round you went through in one chat is not there in the next app you open. On a board, the feedback, the choices and their reasons are in one place you, your client and every AI you connect can read.

A week with Ana

Ana is a freelance product designer. This week she redesigns the checkout of a booking app for a client. She designs in Figma, makes the launch images in Canva, and works with Claude.

The tools in this story:FigmaCanvaClaudeand Listspace between them.

  1. Monday

The client left comments on the checkout frames in Figma. Ana opens a Claude chat with the Figma and Listspace connectors on, and pastes the link to the frames. Claude reads them and adds an item to her Checkout board for every change the client asked for, each with a link back to its frame.

  2. Tuesday

She works in Figma as she always does. When a screen is ready, she tells Claude in the same chat. It moves the item to In review with the client and adds a comment on what changed.

  3. Wednesday

On a call, the client picks the dark header. Ana asks Claude to record it as a decision, with the reason. It waits for her to confirm it, and from then on every AI she connects reads it at the start of a chat.

  4. Thursday

The launch needs a banner. Ana asks Claude to find her Canva design for the launch, sum up what is still open, and put that on the board. The design stays in Canva; the board keeps the to-dos.

  5. Friday

The client follows along on the read-only link Ana shared on Monday, and sees which screens are done and which wait for an answer. Ana writes no status email.

Ana and everyone else in this story are made up, as examples.

What the board looks like

Start from a template. It sets up the lists and tells your AI how to keep the board up to date. Rename or add lists as you like.

What your AI does

  • Reads a Figma frame or a Canva design with that app's own connector, in the same Claude chat, and turns the feedback into items with a link back to the file.
  • Records a design choice as a decision with its reason. Only you confirm it, and every AI you connect reads it from then on.
  • Keeps the design rationale or a spec as a document on the board. Every saved change is a version, and the client can comment on a passage.
  • Moves items along as screens get done. What your agent access does not allow, such as a move to Done, waits in the board's Inbox for you.

Your files stay where they are

  • Listspace does not connect to Figma or Canva itself. Your AI uses their connectors next to Listspace, and each one asks you to sign in to its own account.
  • Listspace never sees your Figma or Canva login.
  • The AI you connect reads what you allow it, under its own maker's terms, which Listspace does not control.
  • History shows every change and who made it, you or which AI, and you can undo an AI's change there.
  • Your boards and files are stored in the EU, on every plan, Free included.
  • Listspace never uses your data to train AI models, and runs no AI models itself.

Things to ask your AI

Once Listspace is connected, type these in Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app you connect. The names are examples.

  • Make a board for the Northwind checkout redesign from the Client project template
  • Read the frames in this Figma link and add an item for every change the client asked for
  • Record our choice of the dark header as a decision, because the client wants the checkout to match the app
  • Find my Canva design for the spring launch and put what is still open on the Northwind board
  • What is waiting for the client on the Northwind board?

Questions

Does Listspace connect to Figma or Canva?

No. Your AI does. Claude can use several connectors in one chat, so it reads a design with the Figma or Canva connector and writes items, comments and decisions with Listspace. The design stays in Figma or Canva; the board keeps the feedback, the choices and the work that follows.

What do I need on the Figma or Canva side?

Their own connector, and they set what it needs. The guide on using Listspace next to Figma and Canva lists what their help pages say, such as the Figma seat the connector needs.

Can the client see the board?

If you want. Share a read-only link on any plan, or invite the client as a guest to view or comment, without a paid seat. Pro allows up to 5 guests per board, who can also edit.

Start with your own board

Listspace is free to start. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to make a board from the Client project template.

Listspace also works without an AI: make the boards, add items and move them along yourself.
