Use cases

Listspace for researchers and students

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Listspace and keep your research on boards: the sources you found, what you read and your notes on each, and a plan for the thesis or paper with every deadline. Your AI adds sources as you talk about them, and keeps notes and chapters as documents with their versions.

Your AI app does remember things. But that memory lives inside one app, you cannot easily see or correct it, and it does not know what still holds and what was replaced. A board keeps your research question, your sources and your plan in one place you can check, and every AI you connect reads it.

What the board looks like

Start from a template. It sets up the lists and tells your AI how to keep the board up to date. Rename or add lists as you like.

Literature review

Use template

Sources for a paper or thesis: what to read, what you are reading, notes per source as a document, and what you cite.

  1. How it worksInfo

The research question and what goes in a source item

    How to use this board

  2. FoundCapture

Sources someone mentioned or you came across, to sort later

  3. To readBacklog

Sources to read, most useful first

Example: Author 2024: the title of the paper

  4. ReadingDoing

Reading now, with notes being written

  5. ReadDone

Read, with notes in the item

  6. CitedInfo

Sources you cite, for the reference list

What your AI does

  • Adds a source when it comes up in a chat, titled with the author and the year, and checks the board for a duplicate first.
  • Keeps your notes on each source as a document. A link to a book shows its title, authors and a summary.
  • Turns feedback from your supervisor into items, one per point, with the chapter it is about.
  • Follows the template's rule never to invent a source, a quote or a page number, and to say when it is not sure a source exists. Check every reference yourself all the same.

Your work and the rules you follow

  • Your boards and files are stored in the EU, on every plan, Free included.
  • Listspace never uses your data to train AI models, and runs no AI models itself.
  • Check what your school, journal or funder allows when you use AI, and follow it.
  • History shows every change and who made it, you or which AI, and you can undo an AI's change there.

Things to ask your AI

Once Listspace is connected, type these in Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app you connect. The names are examples.

  • Make a board for my thesis sources from the Literature review template
  • Add Smith 2021 on remote work and trust to my literature review
  • Summarize my notes on the sources in Read and what they say about trust
  • Add my supervisor's comments on chapter 2 as feedback, one item per point
  • What deadlines do I have for the thesis this month?

Questions

Can my AI find papers for me?

Your AI can suggest sources in a chat and add them to the board. Listspace does not search databases itself. Check each source before you cite it.

Is it free for students?

Listspace is free to start, for everyone, with 1 GB of storage for files, and the last 30 days of a board's History. Pro adds agent access levels 4 and 5, guests and all of your history.

Start with your own board

Listspace is free to start. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to make a board from the Literature review template.

Listspace also works without an AI: make the boards, add items and move them along yourself.
