Listspace for project managers
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Listspace and run each project on a board: the brief, the work, the decisions and what waits on whom. The work keeps happening in Slack, in Google Docs and in the chat. Your AI moves the board along with it, so the board shows what happened, not what you planned.
Your AI app does remember things. But that memory lives inside one app, you cannot easily see or correct it, and it does not know what still holds and what was replaced. A board keeps the plan, the decisions and their reasons where you, your team and every AI you connect can see them.
A week with Rosa
Rosa is a project manager at a small agency. This week she runs a website relaunch for a client. Her team talks in Slack, the client's notes live in Google Docs, and she works with Claude.
The tools in this story:SlackGoogle DocsClaudeand Listspace between them.
Monday
The kickoff notes are in a Google Doc. Rosa pastes them into a Claude chat and asks for a board from the Client project template. Claude breaks the work into items with the dates the client gave, and she adds the link to the Google Doc to the brief. The doc stays in Google Docs; the board points to it.
Tuesday
In Slack, the developer posts a screenshot of a layout bug. Rosa picks Add to Listspace on the message. The item keeps the text, who wrote it, a link back to Slack and the screenshot.
Wednesday
Rosa needs the final images from Ana, the designer, who is on the board. She uses Ask someone on the item: Do this, by Thursday. The request waits in Ana's For you, and the answer comes back as a comment on the item.
Thursday
On a call, the client asks to launch with two languages. Claude records it as a decision with the reason, and Rosa confirms it. Every AI on the project works from it from then on.
Friday
Nothing to update: the board moved with the week. Rosa asks Claude for a status report of the board, checks it, and posts it in the client's Slack channel.
Rosa and everyone else in this story are made up, as examples. A longer week, step by step: How project managers work with Listspace.
Guides for you
- Add a Slack message, with its image, to a board
- Run a client project with your AI and share it read-only
- Mention people and ask them something
- Start your day from For you
- Plan a timeline and print it as a poster

What the board looks like
Start from a template. It sets up the lists and tells your AI how to keep the board up to date. Rename or add lists as you like.

What your AI does
- Turns call notes or a pasted document into items on the project board, with the due dates you were given.
- Records a decision with its reason when one is made. Only you confirm it, and every AI you connect reads it at the start of a chat.
- Writes a status report from the board for you to check: what moved, what is late or stuck, and what comes next.
- Keeps the board current while you work in the chat, and leaves a short summary at the end of a session for the next one.
Your team, the client and your approval
- Items from Slack follow the board's agent access, as your AI does.
- Invite the client or a freelancer to one board as a guest, without a paid seat. Free has 1 guest per board, who can view or comment; Pro up to 5, who can also edit.
- Share a board as a read-only link on every plan, with a password if you like.
- Set Agent access on a board to Suggest, and every change an AI wants to make waits in the board's Inbox until you approve it.
- History shows every change and who made it, you or which AI, and you can undo an AI's change there.

Things to ask your AI
Once Listspace is connected, type these in Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app you connect. The names are examples.
- Make a board for the Northwind relaunch from the Client project template
- Turn the kickoff notes I pasted into items in To do, with the dates the client gave
- Record that we launch with two languages, because the client asked for it on the call
- Write a status report of the Northwind board for the client
- What is overdue across my boards?
Questions
Does Listspace connect to Google Docs?
No. Keep the doc in Google Docs and add its link to the item, so the board points to it. To keep a brief or a spec on the board itself, write it as a document in an item, where every saved change is a version.
How do Slack messages get on the board?
Add Listspace to Slack once, in Settings, Capture and connections. Then choose Add to Listspace on a message, or type /listspace add. The item keeps the text, who wrote it, a link back to Slack and its files, up to 8 MB each.
Start with your own board
Listspace is free to start. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to make a board from the Client project template.
Listspace also works without an AI: make the boards, add items and move them along yourself.
