Listspace for developers
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Listspace, and your coding agent too, and keep the project on a board: the plan, the decisions, the bugs and what each session did. Claude Code, Codex or Cursor reads the board when a session starts, claims the item it works on, and leaves a summary when it stops.
Your AI app does remember things. But that memory lives inside one app, you cannot easily see or correct it, and it does not know what still holds and what was replaced. A coding agent keeps its own notes, and your other AI apps never see them. A board is one memory that ChatGPT, Claude Code and you all read and write.
A week with Daniel
Daniel is a developer at a small software company. His team tracks its tickets in Jira and its code on GitHub. He thinks out loud in ChatGPT and builds with Claude Code. This week he adds a CSV import to the product.
The tools in this story:GitHubJiraChatGPTClaude Codeand Listspace between them.
Monday
The ticket for the import is in Jira, and Jira stays the place for tickets. What a ticket holds badly is the why: which approach he chose and what he already tried. Daniel plans the feature in ChatGPT and asks it to put the plan on a Listspace board as items, with a link to the Jira ticket. At the end, ChatGPT leaves a short summary on the board.
Tuesday
In his project folder, Claude Code starts a session. It reads the board, the items and the summary ChatGPT left, takes the next item no other agent holds, and moves it to Doing. The item shows that Claude is working on it.
Wednesday
Parsing in the browser is too slow for big files. Daniel decides to parse on the server, and Claude Code records that as a decision with the reason. He confirms it, so the next session, and ChatGPT, work from the same answer.
Thursday
Claude Code opens a pull request and adds its link to the item. The link shows whether the pull request is open, merged or closed, and whether its checks pass. A tester posts a screenshot of a bug; Claude Code attaches it to a new item in Bugs, straight from Daniel's disk, with the Listspace command line.
Friday
The pull request merges. With GitHub connected on Pro, the item moves to Done by itself, or waits in the Inbox for Daniel, depending on the board's agent access. He updates the Jira ticket himself. Claude Code leaves a summary on the board, and on Monday the next session starts from it.
Daniel and everyone else in this story are made up, as examples.

What the board looks like
Start from a template. It sets up the lists and tells your AI how to keep the board up to date. Rename or add lists as you like.

What your AI does
- Starts each session by reading the board, its instructions and the summary the last session left, then claims the next item, so two agents never take the same one.
- Adds the link to a pull request on the item. The link shows whether it is open, draft, merged or closed, and whether its checks pass.
- Records a technical decision with its reason, for you to confirm, so the next session and the next AI work from the same answer.
- Attaches a file from your computer, such as a screenshot of a bug or a log, with the Listspace command line.
What GitHub and your agents may do
- Listspace only reads pull requests and checks in the GitHub repositories you pick. It cannot read your code or change anything on GitHub.
- Connected GitHub works like an agent on your boards, within each board's agent access: below Act its moves wait in the Inbox, and below Full a move into Done waits there too.
- Agents never delete your items, lists, boards, comments or files.
- History shows every change and who made it, you or which AI, and you can undo an AI's change there.
- The personal token for the command line is saved on your computer, outside your project folder. Never paste it into a chat.
The details are on the Trust page, in the Privacy Policy and in the Data Processing Agreement.
Things to ask your AI
Once Listspace is connected, type these in Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app you connect. The names are examples.
- Make a board for the CSV import from the Project (for agents) template
- Put this plan on the board as items in To do, one per step, with a link to the Jira ticket
- Take the next item on the CSV import board and start on it
- Record that we parse the CSV on the server, because big files are too slow in the browser
- Attach the screenshot on my desktop to the login bug
Questions
Does Listspace connect to Jira?
No. Listspace has no Jira integration. Keep the tickets in Jira, and keep the plan, the decisions and what each session did on a Listspace board, with a link to the ticket on the item. To move a project over, export a CSV from Jira and import it in Listspace.
What does the GitHub connection do?
A link to a pull request or issue in a public repository shows where it stands on every plan. Connect GitHub on Pro, and private repositories show too, and your items move by themselves: to Doing when a linked pull request opens, to Done when it merges. GitHub works within each board's agent access, and it cannot read your code.
Which coding agents work?
Claude Code and Codex connect by signing in, and Cursor with a personal token. The Works with page lists more apps and how each one connects. Any agent can also use the API or the Listspace command line.
Start with your own board
Listspace is free to start. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to make a board from the Project (for agents) template.
Listspace also works without an AI: make the boards, add items and move them along yourself.
