Listspace vs monday.com

Listspace is a board for you, a small team and the AI you already use. Every AI you connect reads it and keeps it up to date, and what you have not allowed waits in an Inbox for your OK. monday.com is a work platform for teams, with boards, many views, automations and AI agents of its own. For a company that wants one tool for every team, monday.com is the stronger choice.

What your AI may do on its own

Listspace is stronger here
Listspace
You pick an agent access level from Read only to Full, for your account and for each board. What the level does not allow waits in the board's Inbox until you accept or reject it. You can undo an agent's change from History.
monday.com
Your AI acts with your monday.com permissions, and its changes show as yours. Admins approve which AI apps may connect. There is no Inbox to approve changes first.

Two agents on the same project

Listspace is stronger here
Listspace
At agent access level 4 (Act), on every plan, an agent asks for the next item and claims it in one step, so two agents never take the same work. You see which agent is working on what.
monday.com
Its MCP docs describe no way for an agent to claim an item or ask for the next one.

Timeline and dependencies

Listspace is stronger here
Listspace
A Timeline view on every plan, Free included: each item is a bar from its start date to its due date, and an item can depend on another one.
monday.com
Timeline and Gantt views from Standard up. Dependencies between tasks come with the advanced columns of Pro.

Connect your AI

About even
Listspace
Claude (every plan, Free included), ChatGPT (Plus or higher), Gemini, Grok, Lovable, Bolt, Claude Code and Codex connect by signing in. Cursor and other AI apps can connect with a personal token.
monday.com
Yes. monday MCP works with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor and other AI apps, on every monday.com plan at no extra charge. An admin installs it first and can limit it to some workspaces.

Custom fields

About even
Listspace
On every plan: 3 per board on Free, up to 50 on Pro and Team. Show them on items, sort and total them in the table, filter by them, and put dates in the calendar.
monday.com
Columns are its fields: 8 column types on the free plan, and advanced columns on Pro.

Fields filled by AI

About even
Listspace
Your own AI fills them. Give a field fill instructions, and the AI you connected sets the empty or out-of-date values. Below Act, each value waits in the Inbox for your OK. No AI credits.
monday.com
AI-powered columns fill values for you inside monday.com, with no setup outside it. Each run uses AI credits.

Price

About even
Listspace
Free to start. Pro is €7.99 a month, or €6.99 a month paid yearly, VAT included. There is no AI fee: it uses the AI you already have.
monday.com
Free for up to 2 seats. Paid plans are priced per seat, from 3 seats. monday MCP costs nothing extra.

Made for

monday.com is stronger here
Listspace
Made for individuals and small teams. You invite a guest to a board, such as a client, a colleague or your partner, with no paid seat: 1 per board on Free to view or comment, up to 5 on Pro with any role. Team, for 2 to 50 seats, is in beta and not open to the public yet.
monday.com
Teams. The free plan is for up to 2 seats and 3 boards. Paid plans are per seat and start from 3 seats, with unlimited free viewers.

AI of its own

monday.com is stronger here
Listspace
None. Listspace uses the AI you already have, so there is no AI fee.
monday.com
AI features from Basic up, with a monthly allowance of AI credits. You build agents by giving them a goal and rules, and can try them in a simulation first.

Automation

monday.com is stronger here
Listspace
No rule builder: your AI does most of the upkeep. On Pro, connecting GitHub moves items as pull requests open and merge, and Listspace can send a signed message to a program you run when something changes.
monday.com
Built-in automations from Standard up: 250 actions a month on Standard, 25,000 on Pro.

On your phone

monday.com is stronger here
Listspace
Open your boards on your phone, read only, in a layout made for a small screen. On Android, Listspace can also sit in the share menu, so a page, text, photos or a PDF you share becomes an item. iPhone does not allow that for web apps. You make other changes on a computer, a tablet or through your AI. A phone version that does more is on the roadmap.
monday.com
Apps for iPhone and Android, on the free plan too.

Working with AI, in plain words

monday.com builds AI into its own platform: built-in AI features, ready-made agents, and agents you build with a goal and rules, paid for with AI credits. monday MCP also lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor work in your boards with your permissions. For a team that already runs on monday.com, that is a strong setup.

Listspace starts from the AI you already use. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor connect through Listspace's MCP server, which asks them to read the board when a chat starts, keep it up to date while you work, and leave a short summary at the end, so the next chat in any of those apps picks up from there.

You decide how far that goes. An agent access level per board, from Read only to Full, sets what an agent changes on its own, and everything else waits in the board's Inbox for you to accept or reject. Decisions, like a price or a launch date, only count once a person confirms them, and every AI you connect follows the confirmed ones.

Moving over is one step. Listspace imports a Trello board from its JSON export, a Notion database from its export, Obsidian notes, or a CSV file.

Try it with your own AI

Try Listspace if you want a board the AI you already use keeps up to date, with a Timeline view on the Free plan and an Inbox for your OK.

Listspace is free to start. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to make a board for what you are working on.
